The martial art of Muay Thai or Thai Boxing has evolved from the ancient Thai battlefield fighting system, and is considered to be one of
the most ferocious of all martial arts due to it's use of punches, elbows, knees and kicks, allowing close in and distanced defence or attack.
The Muay Thai kick also has a lot to do with it's brutal reputation due to the kick being delivered by the shin bone rather than the foot as in most martial arts,
because of it's extensive arsenal, Thai boxing is often referred to as "The Science of Eight Limbs".
Muay Thai is often the preferred stand up fighting system of most MMA fighters due to it's effective and devastating capability.
